Jr. Board

The Junior Board is a group of young professionals that support Gateway DSA’s program and fundraising efforts.  It’s an opportunity to gain experience in a leadership role, meet new people, and support the Down syndrome community.    

The Junior Board meets once a month on Zoom.  Each member serves a minimum of one (1) two-year term.

Members of the Junior Board help plan inclusive social events for people with Down syndrome and their typical peers, plan happy hours and fundraisers to engage the community, as well as help with family events like World Down Syndrome Day, Step Up for Down Syndrome, and the Annual Holiday Party.  

Junior Board members also volunteer and support other Gateway DSA events when available, and members have the opportunity to join planning committees, attend Board of Directors meetings, and make lasting connections both personally and professionally.
