The Gateway DSA plans several family events each year for all ages. Make sure to RSVP so we know you are coming and can plan to have enough food and supplies for everyone. We look forward to seeing you at an event soon!
Walk in the Ballpark
Sunday, September 20th starting at 10am at Busch Stadium
Walk in the Ballpark is an annual GDSA tradition that brings together families and friends for a day of raising awareness, cheering on the Cardinals, and an overall fun experience that fills the stadium with excitement. Join the nearly 3,000 friends and supporters of Gateway DSA for our largest awareness days of the year. Ticket package is only $40 and includes t-shirt, pre-game pep rally, parade around the warning track, and ticket to the baseball game.
Metro East Illinois Family Event
Saturday, October 3 from 10am-12pm at Braeutigam Orchards – 2795 Turkey Hill Lane, Belleville, IL 62221
Join GDSA and other Illinois families for a fun day of fall farm fun! The whole family is invited to come enjoy and make new friends.
Only $6 per person includes a tractor ride, pumpkin picking, a visit with farm animals, and other activities. Scholarship will be available.

Rock 21 Concert
Sunday, October 11th from 11am-5pm at Frankie Martin’s Garden in Cottleville, MO
Get ready to ROCKTOBERFEST! ROCK 21 is taking the stage for an unforgettable night of live music, big energy, and plenty of rock ’n’ roll! Our talented ROCK 21 musicians with Down syndrome have been rehearsing, learning their favorite songs, and getting ready to show you what they can do.
Join us for an incredible live concert featuring ROCK 21 bands, complete with an exciting Rocktoberfest theme, an amazing light show, and a night full of music, celebration, and fun. Whether you’re a longtime ROCK 21 fan or seeing the program for the first time, you won’t want to miss this!
Come cheer on our ROCK 21 rock stars and celebrate their talent, confidence, and love of music!
Black Family Network Meetup
Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 1-2:30pm at Gateway DSA Office in Brentwood
Join us for a welcoming opportunity to connect, build relationships, and support one another. Come as you are, bring your ideas, and help us create a space where families can connect, support one another, and grow together.
Childcare will be available during the meeting!
Disney Trivia Night
Saturday, October 24th from 5-8pm at Gateway DSA Office in Brentwood
Calling all Disney fans! Gather your family and friends for a magical night of Disney Trivia hosted by the GDSA Junior Board. Participants will enjoy an evening filled with fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition!
Test your knowledge of beloved Disney movies, characters, songs, stories, and more. From classic favorites to modern hits, there will be something for every Disney fan to enjoy. No fairy godmother required—just bring your Disney knowledge and your team spirit! It’s the perfect family-friendly night out, so grab your favorite people, pick a team name, and get ready for a little Disney magic!

Holiday Party & Marketplace
Saturday, December 5th from 10am-1pm at Gateway DSA Office in Brentwood
Celebrate the holiday season with the Gateway DSA community at our annual Family Holiday Party! Enjoy festive fun, connect with friends and families, and make special holiday memories together.
New this year: A Community Marketplace! Browse and shop unique merchandise and handmade creations made by talented members of our community with Down syndrome. It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover one-of-a-kind gifts while supporting and celebrating the creativity, talents, and entrepreneurial spirit of individuals with Down syndrome.

Let's Play Community Group Meetups

The Let’s Play community group is for littles around ages 2-12 years old and their families! They meet every month at a different location throughout the Gateway DSA service area. Check out their Facebook groups for more details about what’s coming up soon!
