Host a Fundraiser or Drive
Year after year, the Gateway DSA community steps up to support our programs and events through traditional fundraising, monetary donations, and volunteer time. It never ceases to amaze us just how generous and dedicated our supporters are. In addition to these vital contributions, our supporters have continued to come up with new and creative ways to raise funds, items, and awareness for the Down syndrome community.
Thank you for all you do for the Gateway Down Syndrome Association!

Start an Online Fundraiser
A great way to communicate with your friends and family that you are fundraising for the Gateway Down Syndrome Association is online!
It’s easy to start a fundraiser on Facebook for your birthday, anniversary, or in honor of your loved one with Down syndrome! Just choose GDSA as your charity of choice!

Profit Sharing
A great way for businesses to give back to their community is to set up a profit share! Ask your favorite restaurant or shop if a profit sharing day supporting the Gateway Down Syndrome Association is something they would be interested in. It can be a win-win for the business AND the organization.
Host a Drive & Collect Needed Items
Some groups and businesses prefer to host a drive and collect items that will off-set program costs for the organization. Items that have been collected are
- gift cards to be used for family support
- new baby items to be used in celebration baskets
- arts and crafts supplies for programs and events
"Genes" Day Fundraiser
Raise awareness and funds by hosting a “genes day” at your work or school. Participants are able to wear jeans to work or school if they make a donation. You can create friendly competition by seeing which department or class can raise the most and give out prizes!
